For effective waxing at California wax center, the hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long, which is about the size of a grain of rice. It takes about two weeks to grow hair to this length in the bikini area if it has not been shaved. If the hair is shorter than this length, it cannot be pulled out by the wax, and therefore, will not be removed. However, in some cases, a test strip can be used to determine if waxing can be done with hair shorter than 1/4 inch at the California bikini wax center.
