The manufacturing engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Provide technical service and assist Project Engineers on special projects as needed. There are physical requirements and working conditions for this role. Job Description:

Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Investigate operational problems affecting production and resolve in a systematic and timely manner.
Applies common processes and concepts in lean problem solving, root cause analysis, and waste reduction tools.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Design, develop and procure assembly fixtures.
Use and interpret SPC data to develop robust assembly processes.
Work with engineering and other departments to produce cost estimates for new designs by estimating TAKT, tooling & fixture requirements, costs, etc.

Job Specifications/Education & Training:

2-3 years of Manufacturing Engineer experience in a role supporting manufacturing operations.
BS in Engineering, or equivalent.
Advanced Math.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Pro-E, SolidWorks, CATIA or ANSI Y14.5
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Designing and troubleshooting PLC systems.
PLC based programming stations and functional testers for mechanical and electronic systems.
