Job Title: Performance Tester
Location: Woonsocket, RI 02895
Primary Skills: 6-8 years of IS/IT experience, including experience in Performance Testing. BS or equivalent in computer science or engineering. Experience with Unix commands and shell scripting. Experience with HP Load runner or similar load testing tools. Knowledge of Oracle technologies Oracle 11g and PL/SQL (Understanding of Query plans, AWR Reports etc.) Understanding of performance testing concepts (CPU Utilization, Response time, network latency, think time, etc.). Good data collection/analysis/compilation/data comparison/data presentation skills. Knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies. Understanding of any version management tool like SVN, VSS etc. Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly Ability to apply technical knowledge and experiences to facilitate the resolution of various technical issues. Does not have to solve them alone, but must be able to lead a group of SMEs from different disciplines in order to arrive at a solution

The manager is looking to bring on 2-4 performance testers. He ideally wants to bring on 2 junior resources and 2 mid-level resources.
This team supports Digital, Caremark, MedD, PBM from a PT perspective and are currently responsible for the performance testing for CVS.com and much of the Security org
Since August of 2019, they have gone Agile. As of last month, a new train was created which is the reason for the ramp up. There are 65+ projects every month with over 12 trains currently. Each train can be 30 teams and within those teams there can be 5-15 people.
Currently the team is a group of 8 and they're all advisor level Performance Testers, because of this and some budget restraints - he would like to bring in 2 mid-level resources and 2 junior level resources to build out a tiered model.
Junior Level
Lower level testers will focus on scripting and analysis then turn over to advisors and have a systems admin background
Must have Load runner for load testing tools experience, 1-3 years ideally - this is the main/primary skill set needed for the junior openings.
j meter is a strong nice to have - use J meter bit but they're main focus is Load Runner. Microfocus acquired LoadRunner cloud - can teach them some of these skills as long as they have Load Runner / performance center experience or load runner with stand-alone experience - they'll be using the same scripting but just uploading the scenarios differently
