Urgent requirement for Linux Administrator
Good knowledge of Linux Flavors RedHat, CentOS, SuseLinux, Ubuntu
Installing and Administering Linux servers in 24/7 environments.
Perform troubleshooting and help maintain client production environment
Incident management and change management
Administration of NFS, FTP, DNS, LDAP
User management, Creating and managing user account, groups and access levels.
Adding lun from storage side, scanning new lun and bringing into LVM and increasing the volume group as per the requirements.
Monitoring System Resources like CPU utilization, Virtual memory and SWAP utilization.
Disk management, creating File system and troubleshooting on disk issues like file system full and usage of file system.
LVM management – Creating, extending, removing the LV’s and VG’s etc.
Monitoring System Resources like CPU utilization, Virtual memory and SWAP utilization.
Increase the Swap Space online as per client requirement.
Scheduling jobs and managing using crontab automation tool.
Implementing security on users,groups and others on specified files and directories through ACL.
Applying Setuid, Setgid and stickybit on files.
Providing sudo privileges to the user
Check the port status at server level.
Server commissioning and decommissioning
Administration experience of Physical servers will be an advantage.
