Overview:

TRISTAR is seeking a HR Assistant (General) for our government customer in Crane, IN

This position will support the Workforce Development branch by performing varies duties.


Position Responsibilities:

The position shall be the assigned Training Coordinator for Corporate Operations and other support Departments as needed


Duties may include:

Complete Ad Hoc Training Request (ATR) forms for employees who are attending training and/or taking academic courses
Compile conference packages to submit to Command for approval


Assisting the On-boarding staff as needed. This includes support required prior to, during or after each On-boarding session

Duties include:

Capturing digital fingerprints
Preparing new hire folder
Setting room up with name tents, folders
Inputting visitor passes for new hires
Capturing mandatory training for new hires
Update training records for all customer personnel in N-ERP
Maintain an adequate inventory of training material for Onboarding to ensure classrooms are adequately stocked and ready for classes
Report to the Onboarding Program Manager when supplies are needed

Responsible for assisting with Scientist and Engineers Qualification Cards (S & E Qual Cards)

Duties include:

Uploading information into iCrane
Scheduling new hire board reviews
Coordinating schedules for board reviews to ensure adequate number of panel members
Take notes in board reviews
Update iCrane site with new/updated information as needed

The HR Assistant shall be responsible for assisting with the Leadership Development program
Duties include:

Preparing new supervisor packets and email letter to all newly selected supervisors
Track new supervisors to ensure they received the required training for new supervisors in the given timeframes
Assist with local Supervisory 101 class with scheduling speakers, class material and track pre-requisite training
Ensure new supervisors receive credit for both Propel and Supervisory 101 after completion

Additional Requirements:

Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
Attend Branch and Division meetings, when required
Excellent written and verbal skills required
Maintain strict confidentiality of all information exposed to in supporting all processes and procedures pertaining to Human Resources
Intermediate EXCEL, WORD and PowerPoint Skills
Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Professional
US Citizenship Required
Intermediate computer skills with the following systems for data entry and report generation:
Microsoft Office Total
Total Workforce Management System (TWMS)

Onboarding Manager
Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS)
Education and Certification:

No less than a HS Diploma and must have at least 3 years of direct HR experience
