General Purpose of the Job
Electrical repairs consistent with ensuring equipment performs so as not to impede production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Repairs, maintains and installs electrical components, wiring and electrical equipment of all machinery and buildings of the plant.
• Locates, determine s reason for electrical failures and carries out necessary repairs.
• Ensures all electrical parts, wiring and equipment conform to electrical code requirements and are operating in a safe, efficient manner.
• Performs preventative electrical maintenance procedures as required.
• Replaces electrical components, motor parts and wiring as required.
• Conducts electrical tests and maintains maintenance and repair records as required.
• May test and repair electronic components and equipment.
• Complies with requirements as outlined in the company handbook.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Practices good housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
• Practices and obeys the environmental, health and safety rules of the company.
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree or four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
