Full Job Description:
- Purchase materials evaluating and balancing product quality, vendor reliability, lead-time, customer specifications, cost and demand.
- Consult and coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing concerning material specifications, quantities, lead times and other variables.
- Manage vendor performances to meet and exceed expectations in regards to on-time performance, lead-time improvement, material quality and order and invoice accuracy.
- Search for and evaluate potential new vendors.
- Manage, update, coordinate and adhere to policies and procedures;
- Manage material inventory levels to improve turns while minimizing out-of-stocks;
- Resolve material and quality discrepancy
Requirements:
BA, BS preferred with at least 7 years experience in hi-volume manufacturing environment;
Proficiency in ERP systems – Syteline experience a plus;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Ability to multi-task;
Good interpersonal and leadership skills;
Proven negotiating skills;
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Access and/or PowerPoint proficiency a plus
MRP (Material Requirement Planning) system experience highly desired
CPIM certification a plus
