Qualifications:
One year of recent experience in household management, raising children, and/or caring for the elderly
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate written instructions
Two work-related references
Duties May Include:
Home management functions (light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, cleaning & disposing of trash)
Planning meals, purchasing groceries, preparing and serving foods or meals and clean-up
Reminding clients to take medications
Reporting changes in the client's condition or family situation to your supervisor
Contacting your supervisor regarding client/family requests that are not designated on the Assignment of Duties
Documenting services provided on appropriate forms
Accompanying client to scheduled appointments
Providing errands for clients
Transporting client, unless he/she requires help ambulating and/or transferring
Adhering to client's rights
Maintaining client confidentiality
Maintaining a safe environment
Physical Requirements – must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job as outlined in orientation and through the post offer pre-employment physical.
Education – minimum GED, high school diploma or equivalent work experience
