It all started in the mid-1960s, when a Castro's personal bodyguard liked to secretly buy cigars from local cigar craftsmen. I didn't expect Castro to like it very much, so I hired Eduardo Ribera. The cigar was made for him, in an Italian-style mansion on the outskirts of Havana in El Rajito. At first the cigar had no name. It was not named after Coiba in 1968. It began to produce three sizes: Lancero, CoronaEspecial and Panetela, each of which Castro personally loved. Since they are all new cigars, they are named after the factory. These three specifications: LaguitoNo.1, NO.2 and NO.3, the former two have the characteristics of a unique small tail.
