Roles/Responsibilities:
Expand Company knowledge-base in synthetic polymer chemistry
Synthesize and functionalize polymers in order to enable new hydrocarbon-based materials
Test structure-property hypotheses by preparing and characterizing polymeric materials
Characterize polymers and determine the polymer physical and mechanical properties
Make substantial individual and collaborative contributions within multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams.
Skills and Qualification:
A Ph.D. in Chemistry, or a related field such as Polymer Science, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering with a strong chemistry background
A track record of high-impact, first-author publications and presentations.
Post-doctoral research experience is strongly preferred.
Previous experience with coordination-insertion, anionic, cationic, or ring opening polymerization is desirable.
Additional experience in a related field, such as polymerization kinetics, polymer thermodynamics, or polymerization unit operations is preferred.
