Location: Bismarck, ND

Our company is presently hiring a Heavy Duty Crane Technician who will repair and maintain a variety of cranes. This individual MUST have a 2-year degree in either Diesel Technology or Automotive Technology. Having previous experience in the role is desired, but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform field repairs and maintenance jobs with little or no direct supervision

Knowledge of a variety of different types of LMI systems and able to read and understand load charts

Knowledge of a variety types of cranes such as lattice crawler, lattice truck, hydraulic truck, and rough terrain

Ability to set up cranes and operate safely

Responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications

Basic testing knowledge of all machine systems

Recondition and repair equipment and components in a complete, safe, and effective manner by planning methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned

Perform diagnostic inspections as directed, including repair determination inspections following established guidelines, identify the cause of failure, and identify solutions necessary to affect a repair

Responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe manner

Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs

Assists in the collection of data necessary for efficient inventory control

Attends training at local, regional, national service schools as requested

Maintains a clean and safe working environment

Maintains and cares for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles

Completes all paperwork required for jobs

Performs as directed by the Service Management

Background in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting


Requirements:

Crane Inspector Certification recommended but not required

Tower crane experience preferred but not required - must be willing to be trained on tower cranes

Obtains or is willing to obtain a Class A CDL License

Minimum 2 year Diesel Technology or Automotive Technology degree or equivalent experience

Has a basic tool set
