Description:
Involved in the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for delivery of products to customers from materials acquisition through distribution. Primary areas include production planning, inventory management, detailed scheduling, conformance to plan and ownership of the master production schedule.

Responsibilities:
• Utilizes knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and principles in all decision processes.
• Oversee schedules with customer service, suppliers, receiving, manufacturing, and shipping to ensure customer’s requirements are met.
• Utilize MRP system to develop purchasing plans and production schedule for assigned products while balancing operational efficiency.
• Accountability for raw material and finished goods inventory goals driven by strategic stocking decisions based on contract, business strategy, or material availability needs.
• Resolution of material availability for common materials across multiple production lines.
• Coordinates long term supply issues with Divisional Purchasing, Divisional Planning and Product Line Management.
• Supports new product implementation, and coordinates materials for the final release to manufacturing operations; will work closely with project teams and divisional resources.
• Supports product transfer and coordination with both the transferring and the receiving Plants. This activity requires working very closely with divisional resources to assure schedule integrity and inventory management.
• Analyzes and implements solutions or strategies for business problems based on the analysis of the customer’s business goals, objectives, needs, existing systems infrastructure and input from senior personnel.
• Contributes to the achievement of organizational goals through Continuous Improvement Suggestion Program using Supply Chain and lean concepts.
• Performs monthly surveillance of all Planning objectives to assure alignment to divisional goals and strategies.
• Supports divisional procurement, transportation, supplier management and logistics operations to ensure customer’s requirements are met.

Required Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar required

Required Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in plant scheduling or supply chain functions
• Able to work independently in a dynamic business and fast paced manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a matrix environment or on a cross functional team.

Desired Experience:
• Master’s degree, APICS or CSCMP certification a plus.
• SAP / APO – Length Based planning experience a plus
• Experience across multiple plants or multiple functions.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
• Experience with cross functional collaboration.
• Adaptable and flexible
