Job Title: Staff Civil Engineer
Location: Carnegie, PA
Duties: Develop and complete work relative to roadway design, including horizontal and vertical geometry, typical sections grading, drainage, access, ROW, etc.; Prepare H&H reports using HEC-RAS software; Prepare and/or review design plans, reports, construction documents, specifications construction cost estimates and schedules for transportation projects; Provide day-to-day leadership while working with other professionals; Assist the project manager with multiple tasks as needed Particular design elements include: horizontal and vertical alignments, signing and pavement markings, traffic control plans, drainage analysis and design, cross sections and roadway plans preparation, storm water management. The candidates will utilize Microstation, Inroads and any other engineering software required for the roadway design.
Requirements: Master's degree in civil engineering or appropriate discipline. Min 2 years experience required. Experience in Highway and other associated civil design services. Experience in 3D modeling using MicroStation and InRoads software; in H & H design desirable; coursework and/or training ArcGIS & HEC-RAS software for H & H design. AutoCAD is plus. Must be interested in development of road and highway design from concept to final construction documents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic and strong desire to learn. M-F, 40hrs/wk.
