Job Title: Security Operations Analyst

Description:
Seeking Security Operations Analyst to join company with Cloud-based solution. Primary Job Responsibilities include:
- Develop rules and process to control the integrity (accuracy, thoroughness, process compliance) of all data within company databases
- Facilitate compliance with laws and regulations and customer, vendor, and business partner contracts and agreements
- Help protect Company assets from threats and vulnerabilities, while protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company assets in any form
- Assist with execution of annual Company and HIPAA risk assessments. Execute focused risk assessment procedures as part of vendor, hardware, and software vetting, prior to acquisition or engagement
- Establish methods for managing, assessing, and auditing risk and risk exposure. Analyze threats and risks and make recommendations on controls and safeguards for Company resources
- Investigate reported and identified security and privacy complaints and incidents
- Facilitate tracking of incidents throughout the Company, including documenting and managing incidents and Company activities to mitigate or remediate incidents or the effects of incidents
- Assist with oversight for compliance, monitoring, and reporting activities within the Corporate and SaaS environments
- Assist with reporting on Company's Information Security posture to Senior Leadership
- Manage exceptions and exception risk management processes throughout the company and covering Corporate and SaaS infrastructure, databases, systems, and applications
- Oversee IDS and IPS capabilities, including escalations from managed security providers
- Manage and configure security and controls in security services and applications deployed throughout both the Corporate and SaaS environments, including, but not limited to, identity management, database security, group policies, anti-virus and anti-malware, web filter, network access control, encryption, SPAM filters, DDoS protections and WAF policy and settings
- Coordinate with third-party security and risk vendors as needed
- Help maintain Company Security and Privacy Policies
- Track training compliance for Workforce members
- Develop security awareness materials for distribution throughout the Company
Requirements:
- Professional level security, risk, or compliance certification required (certification must be current and candidate should be a member in good standing with the credentialing organization)
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and HIPAA Compliance or equivalent experience in a highly-regulated environment preferred
- Familiarity with GINA preferred
- Must have proven work experience managing, administering, and maintaining networking systems and client-server environments
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of security best practices to prevent data breach and losses, preferably with experience working in a healthcare or other highly-regulated industry. Additional consideration given to those with strong experience in environments subject to HIPAA compliance
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish metrics/scorecards to demonstrate value-add
- Exhibit strong planning, organizing and project management skills
- Commitment to quality and integrity
- Capacity to take initiative when necessary and provide a proactive approach to the work that must be done
Education:
Minimum BS required in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Intelligence or a related discipline
