Full Job Description:
I. Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Analysis of material for compliance with established company standards.
Assist and train assemblers on quality control processes.
Responsible for testing and integration of equipment systems.
Works closely with engineers and vendors on problem analysis and engineering changes.
Identifies process deficiencies in manufacturing process with suggested improvements.
Use of conventional inspection and test equipment.
Assist customers when needed on the resolution of technical issues.
Interact professionally with internal customers and suppliers.
Test and debug internal software applications and subsequent revisions.
Recommends engineering changes when warranted.
II. Qualifications:
Minimum two years in manufacturing quality control required.
Two years experience in electronic and/or mechanical engineering.
Ability to analyze blue prints, wiring diagrams, schematics, materials, components; etc.
Good communication and team skills.
Must be capable of multi-tasking.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Strong work ethic which includes quality based work practices.
Competent PC skills including knowledge of various MS-Office applications.
Working knowledge of wireless RF networks.
Ability to analyze technical problems with the use of test equipment and schematics.
Effective organizational and planning skills.
Strong written skills when documenting technical issues and equipment analysis.
Ability to work with design engineers and technical engineers.
Experience in UL and CSA certifications is desired.
III. Education
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology.
Education should include courses in Quality Control Management.
IV. Working Conditions
Plant environment.
Working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Position is salaried and may require overtime.
Project deadlines have a direct bearing on workload and schedules.
Good eyesight required when working on detailed circuitry.
Employee is subject to an initial drug test and subequent testing at managers discretion.
