Develops, implements and administers the company’s credit analysis, approval and collections functions; works closely with management and sales to achieve understanding and compliance with policies; accountable for the credit portion of the financial information systems, provides analytical information as required. Provides timely and accurate information for functional area, including close related activity. Is a liaison for the group between outside agencies and customers; has the ability to negotiate outcomes related to functional area. Work Scope: Manages the daily activities of a small to mid-size work group with responsibility for AR & Collection. Includes oversight of information systems related to functional area. Establishes and executes operational goals and objectives and provides a business context for those goals and objectives in alignment with strategic direction of the organization Is responsible for close related activities, including overseeing yearly internal audit for credit and collection area Maintain, develop and update operational policies and procedures as they relate to Credit and Collection area Is viewed as a strong subject matter contributor within the function/business unit. Negotiates with other managers, and peer contacts at customers and other internal and external constituencies. Demonstrates leadership, integrity and intiative Develops and mentors staff Provides metrics on DSO, AR aging and unapplied cash to upper management Required Skills/Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field, or equivalent training and experience. 7-10 years of related work experience 5 years management experience Must successfully pass a background check Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and organization skills with the ability to diagnose a problem and implement corrective action. Self motivated; high bias for action. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Oracle experience preferred Self starter capable of leading and partner with internal projects or initiatives Hands on individual with strong teamwork orientation Must be able to meet tight deadlines Additional Candidate Instructions.
