Summary: The Director of Instructional Design works collaboratively with the curriculum development team to create learning methodologies and programs that meet Program, Course, and Student Learning Objectives. Through collaboration, the instructional design team designs courses with appropriate attention given to interface design, sequencing of instruction, use of assessments, and design of materials and activities. The Director of Instructional Design ensures that courses incorporate standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. The instructional design team reviews written materials and recommends techniques to optimize the learning process through changes in format, content, and methods of distribution. The instructional design team works with SMEs by providing them the tools needed to enrich the asynchronous learning classroom. This team plays a pivotal role throughout the course development process from inception to delivery.
