The Appraisal Specialist/Collector Specialist analyzes and develops the replacement cost of high value homes and provide detailed reports regarding their acceptability within the Illinois Territory. This includes visiting with clients in homes to determine replacement costs, evaluate adequacy of alarm systems, and make safety recommendations. The Appraisal Specialist will create risk assessment reports to be used by underwriters, agents, and insureds. Based on an insured''s possessions and lifestyle, the candidate will identify and effectively market the need for additional coverages. Additional responsibilities for this position will include working with the Illinois Management Team to develop strategies and programs to support local Marketing initiatives to grow Valuable Articles policies in the Illinois Area and provide Collector Services for new and current customers and their collections. Candidates should have experience in quality standards, appraisal workflows and management reports. They should have experience in managing the completion of team projects and have basic management skills/experience. Job Requirements The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual that has the ability to deal with a wide variety of people. Knowledge of construction, architecture or art and an aptitude for evaluating, analyzing and interpreting information is essential. Will have prior experience in usingLike and Kind Replacement Cost for Residential construction. Will have a background in fine arts and demonstrate strong marketing and business development skills. The candidate should also possess the following competencies: the flexibility to adapt to new ideas and situations; demonstrated ability to manage relationships with customers; the ability to incorporate knowledge of marketplace needs and business objectives to develop and implement strategies to ensure success; solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent mathematical skills; excellent time management and planning skills; and the ability to work independently, while demonstrating collaboration with other team members.
